Project Brief

The old logo looked generic and makes them do little in standing out among other e-commerce brands. That was why Maruchicart sought a bold, Afrocentric brand identity to position it as a vibrant trade hub connecting Africa to the world. The rebrand will highlight innovation, professionalism, and sustainability, blending traditional and modern aesthetics to appeal to a global audience.

Approach

I started by carefully studying the brief, then took time to understand the target audience and research competitors to find the best ways to make Maruchicart stand out. After gathering enough insights, I concluded by anchoring the creative direction on this expression: Trade centre point from Africa to the world with these keywords attached: Centre point, Boundless, Bold, Trade. This approach was aligned with the brand’s vision and it ensured the identity system captured its innovation, professionalism, and global appeal. In the end, the results met and even exceeded expectations.

Impact

The new brand identity has made it easier for Maruchicart to connect Africa to the world through trade. The designs bring their bold, vibrant vision to life, creating a professional image that speaks to both local and global audiences.
